Cancer Fighters Thrive

Cancer Fighters ThriveTM is a quarterly magazine designed to inform and empower cancer patients, their friends, and families. Each issue includes diverse topics that address an integrative approach to winning the fight against cancer—from the latest in clinical research, nutrition, and mind-body to relevant naturopathic therapies and the role of spirituality and faith. Articles highlight patients’ courage and inspiration and bring to light advances in research and treatment, as well as recipes and tips that will improve quality of life during treatment.

Summer 2012

We now have a digital format for the online version of Cancer Fighters Thrive. This digital format allows you to connect directly to links mentioned in the articles and advertising, as well as email or share an article with a friend. Some of the informative topics in this issue include:

  • When husband and wife both face cancer, how can they best help each other? Read “Cancer Times Two” feature on page 2.

CTCA Chef's Corner

Watch Chef Judith Hallisey demonstrate cooking the delicious Moroccan Shrimp recipe from “Wholesome Temptation” cookbook. Dietitian Carolyn Lammersfeld, RD, will discuss the nutritional benefits of the ingredients in the recipe. Recipe can be found in the Recipes tab on the left.
